Amazon Filters provided the Walbrook Building with side stream systems to protect Chilled Water (CHW) and Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) circuits.

The Walbrook is a prestigious building within the City of London and due to its prestigious nature the main consultants had to ensure that the environmental systems worked perfectly. Therefore as part of the design process, our side stream filtration systems were used to protect the Chilled Water (CHW) and Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) circuits within the building.

It was identified that a faster than usual system clean-up was required for this project and this high level of performance needed to be maintained for the on-going normal operation. This requirement resulted in a system that needed to be designed for 10 bar operating pressure. In order to achieve the rapid clean up, the system needed to be designed for a higher than usual flow rate and the system required operation at this elevated flow rate on an on-going basis. The specially designed system then needed to be delivered in a short period of time.

We recommended 61 and 62 Series round housings, high and low temperature 20 micron SupaGard filter cartridges, automatic vent valves, pressure gauges and drain valves for this project.

The project manager overseeing works at the Walbrook Building, said: “The equipment was manufactured to a high quality standard and delivered on time to meet our project schedule.”

Keith Wickert, Marketing Manager here at Amazon Filters said:

“We were privileged to be part of this prestigious project and to supply our side stream filtration systems which were used to protect the Chilled Water (CHW) and Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) circuits within the building.”
