Housing Assembler

Assembly | Full Time Role | £23,000 - £25,000

The Role

We are now seeking a new Housing Assembler to join our busy and friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of filter vessels ensuring that they are of the required standard before passing on to the Despatch Team. The individual will also be involved in chemical etching and marking engraving as well the following tasks;

  • Carrying out works order operations as detailed – i.e. Assembly of filter housing, sub assembly of parts or cleaning components prior to completion.
  • Completion of works orders of EFACS system
  • Equipment maintenance, i.e. Instapak packing machine, changing of filters and solutions.
  • Issuing and stock rotation of Housing consumables.
  • Completion of documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Carrying out regular stock level checks.
  • Support the departments’ Team Leader in meeting the department order demand.
  • Adhering to works order ‘due by date’ deadlines.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will find this an interesting and challenging position and should have:

  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and work instructions/procedures
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of mechanical fitting and ability to use a variety of hand tools
  • Computer literate (basic excel)
  • Forklift License (desirable)
  • Cranes and lifting experience (desirable)
  • Good verbal communication
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Quality focussed with good attention to detail and excellent accuracy
  • Organised and efficient
