We will be supplying cartridge filters to one of their main distributors Barr + Wray Ltd, who were recently awarded sole supply of cartridge filters by Scottish Water, as a share of the Media & Filters framework agreement.

The complete framework for both media and cartridge filtration is estimated at a value of £33 million and is based on initial supply over 6 years, with an additional 6 x 12 month extension possible thereafter.

Headquartered in Scotland, Barr + Wray represent leading equipment manufacturers within the United Kingdom and have represented Amazon Filters for many years, selling our range of process filtration equipment within Scotland.

Their experience in specifying hardware and consumables for filtration applications, alongside many years of experience in optimum equipment selection and reducing lifetime costs, has afforded them an enviable reputation as an accepted leader in fluid handling and processing.

The Scottish Water Framework covers the supply of media including sand, GAC (and installation where required), for refurbishment works only, and the supply and installation, where required, of Amazon Cartridge Filters.

The Amazon cartridge filters part of the Framework, was awarded solely to Barr + Wray, whilst two other companies were awarded the media side of the framework – one successfully  being awarded 100% GAC across Scotland and also allocated the RGF sand media for the West and East of Scotland, whilst the other was awarded the RGF sand media only for North and South of Scotland.

Neil Pizzey, Managing Director of Amazon Filters Ltd., said:

“We are delighted to be supporting Barr + Wray with this contract win. They are a longstanding and trusted distributor of our filtration equipment and have years of experience in optimum equipment selection.
