New B-Blue Filtration System

 

Amazon Filters has launched two new ranges to expand its range of B-Blue filtration products. These are designed to complement the plastic B-Blue housings and meltblown depth filters Amazon currently supply. Both the housing and cartridge have been developed in response to market need. Although ‘Big Blue’ type plastic housings and low quality pleated ‘Big Blue’ cartridges are offered by a number of suppliers, there is limited availability of Big Blue type stainless steel housings and high performance pleated cartridges.

SupaPleat B-Blue filters are large diameter, high surface area cartridges offering maximum efficiency and exceptionally high flow capabilities. A single SupaPleat B-Blue pleated filter has a surface area approximately equivalent to 3 standard diameter cartridges. Therefore these filters are particularly suited to larger scale processes as they provide a more convenient system for the user.

They incorporate advanced polypropylene pleated depth media providing low pressure loss and high dirt capacity. Available in a range of Absolute removal ratings from 0.5 – 50 µm, as well as a special CRY grade for Crypto removal, they are the ideal choice for a wide range of applications.

 

 

This range is based on the widely used existing 51 Series housings. It is designed for 10” and 20” B-Blue cartridges and has a dual purpose head that can accept both SOE code 3 and DOE cartridges (pleated and depth, Amazon and many other suppliers). The housings are rated at 10 bar in liquids and 6 bar in gases and can be used up to 110ºC. They therefore overcome the chemical compatibility, pressure and temperature limitations of the plastic housings currently available.
